This beach towel is made with fabric composed of 60% recycled cotton and 40% polyester resulting from the recycling of plastic bottles (PET) collected in the sea. This is a completely ecological product that contributes to the conservation of the natural resources of our land and to the reduction of two waste abandoned in the sea. In fact, recycled polyester does not need a new oil extraction to be created. The process of creating the recycled raw material is therefore eco-sustainable and allows you to save 50% of energy compared to the production of virgin polyester. The vast majority of waste found on the beach and on the seabed is plastic, about 8 million tons of it end up in the sea, and the quantity is bound to increase. The Mediterranean Sea in particular, where 165 fishing boats are engaged, dedicated to the recovery of plastic bottles, is considered one of the most critical areas of our planet, with a concentration of waste in the sea equal to that of the so-called "floating islands" of the 'Pacific Ocean.
