There are various joints to develop the visual sense of size: either the height and the diameter of the cylinders progressively increase from the smallest to the largest or the diameter of the cylinders progressively increases from the largest to the largest, or the height of the cylinders it decreases progressively as the diameter increases from the highest and narrowest to the lowest and widest or the height of the cylinders progressively increases from the lowest to the highest while the diameter remains constant. The Solid Joints introduce the child to the first phase of visual size discrimination. They are made of solid beech wood with a natural finish.
